A bookworm, there’s little Pastel loves more than curling up with an old favorite book or coming across a new title. She’s personable but also a bit reserved so she’ll either be a little on the quiet side or talk your mane off, there is no in-between. Her talent based in writing, she loves sharing stories with everypony, be it her very own or as a specially picked book recommendation off the shelves of her bookshop, Pastel’s Pages. Family oriented, her very best friend is her younger sister Autumn who also works and lives with her.

About Pastel:

A bookworm, there’s little Pastel loves more than curling up with an old favorite or coming across a new title. She’s personable but also a bit reserved so she’ll either be a little on the quiet side or talk your mane off, there is no in-between with Pastel. She loves hearing other ponies talk about their favorite things and some of her favorite stories to hear are the stories of cutie marks and how they were acquired, the passion behind most of the tellings make the teller light up and shine which in turn makes Pastel happy to see. Born and raised in a small town, it was always Pastel’s dream to step out of the small confinements, see the world and hear all the stories it had to share and after graduating, she did just that. She had a little saved up but it wasn’t enough to yet fulfill her dream of opening up her own bookshop so she traveled, working where she could and putting most of her money into the jar that held a promise of the future (while here and there she splurged to add another book or set of scrolls to her ever-growing collection.) Her talent based in writing, she even made a slight portion of the funds by selling her own books and short story scrolls, setting up little makeshift shops where she went and enticing ponies into wanting more by sharing a few tales by mouth, getting everypony eager for more stories before pointing out a few she thought they would like. It wasn’t an easy path that led her to Manehattan and the opening of the doors to Pastel’s Pages but it was worth it, Pastel knowing that any dream required your all, no goal would be achieved by giving it only a percentage of your ambition and hard work.

No pony thought a bookshop would make it in the big, busy city but that didn’t defer her. She loved the hustle and bustle of Manehattan and after spotting a sign on a tucked away shop in dire need of some T.L.C., Pastel knew it was not only the place for her but the place where she could finally lay down her foundation. And luckily, with the daunting task of remodeling the rundown shop laid out before her, Pastel wasn’t alone for along. Soon after learning that their oldest was finally ready to settle in one spot (while still keeping her room ready for the moment life may make her throw in the towel and run home), her parents allowed her younger sister Autumn to make the move from home and join her older sister in the city. Best friends, both ponies have always had the other’s flank when needed the most and there was no way Autumn was going to sit back and leave all the work to Pastel. Pastel’s sure that sentiment was only said because after hard work always comes the fun but either way, she’s happy to have her younger sister by her side as she navigates this new crazy path in life, her company a blessing as they made the dull and long forgotten shop into a whole new world, filled with warmth and a sense of home, the comfort most places break their hooves to achieve coming naturally into the small space as the sisters brought it back to life with laughter and love.

Pastel's Pages is not the most successful or well known shop but that doesn’t matter to Pastel. It’s not only her and her sister's new home (their living quarters situated over the shop) but it’s an actual dream come true. Ponies don’t flock from all over just to browse through the selection built up from Pastel's own personal work as well as the popular more prominent penning ponies out there, but the ones who do make the bell chime above the door will be met by a smiling mare excited to welcome them to new worlds through pages that can take anypony anywhere.
